I remember early in my career, I tried to learn coding— from HTML to CSS to Javascript– to PHP, even. To me coding is like a chore I never wanted to do— but had to do. So, I had to learn it by force and not by heart. A lifetime later, I still have to do it even when I'm surrounded by legit programmers and developers. Thankfully, there's this W3Schools— they make my life easier. I don't have to remember or be technical about a code— it's always out there on the platform. Easy to digest— ready to use.

And as a way to thank them, I thought apart from sharing their site to others, I'd pay them a tribute. I specialize in identity design— therefore, the logo.

W³ is a shorthand for World Wide Web. So, the general idea is simple— paraphrase "³". Express it without having to mention it— seamlessly.

I was on Youtube— I came across this Nike commercial from 1988— Just do it. It's one of the most powerful slogans ever created in advertising. I may have loved it, but I was never 'sold' into it— I'm a designer. I don't 'just do it'— I do it with utmost attention, careful thought and consideration. And when I'm about to go 'do it'— I do it with such conviction.

Even with basketball, I don't 'just' play the sport— I train and I practice, and I put in the work. I play basketball with nothing short of— blood, flair and substance. It's the guiding principles of my brand— RCKY™.

It's not you— it's their inability to comprehend.

Sometimes you encounter people judging your work subjectively— based on personal feelings, tastes, or opinions. A lot of them won't even consider the criteria by which a particular work was conceived with. They just blurt it out like a bunch of naysayers and crabs. I say— don't despair. It's not you— it's their inability to comprehend.

Jennifer O'Brien is a real estate agent off the coast of Charleston, South Carolina. She specializes in areas around the coastal area and golf communities— having been engrossed with golf all her life. She used to set up Amateur Golf Tournaments— as her first career.

I would've been elated if she gravitated towards the simpler version. As I stressed on so much at the presentation— a logo doesn't necessarily describe the product or services you do. It merely identifies you— nothing more. Just as Starbucks is identified by a siren— a two-tailed mermaid; or Apple Computers, by an apple.

Hernan Osorio is a licensed real estate broker living off the coastal resort city of Miami Beach. He is a former military pilot (Colombia Air Force) who emigrated to America. He loves outdoor— especially strolling around the beach with his dog Lola.

The initial approach— his attachment to his dog Lola. The circle is for "Osorio", and the icon in the middle is an abstract "H" for Hernan— it's a bone, a reference to his dog.

The second one— a tribute to the city of Miami, which is known for Art Deco. It's a fusion of H and O, forming a new abstract symbol.

The last one— the winner. On the surface, it's an H for Hernan, encompassed by a square. The square is actually an abstract "O". Instead of the obvious circular O— a square. It has four sides that reference the four walls of a room, a house or a shelter, and even a property— real estate.
