The future of intelligent operations is not only about adopting new technology. It is also about equipping people, strengthening partnerships, and solving the challenges that matter most. At the heart of this transformation is talent, with people remaining at the center, working alongside technology to amplify its impact and unlock its full potential.

On September 23 and 24, 21 leaders from Sun Life Global Solutions Philippines attended the International IT-BPM Summit 2026, themed “Intelligence at Scale: Accelerating the PH Pivot.” The summit brought industry leaders together to explore how AI, innovation, and talent can accelerate transformation and create greater value for the Philippines.

During the panel, “From Operations to Intelligence: The Future of Financial Services Delivery,” our Vice President and Site Head, Nathalie Bernardo, highlighted how Global Capability Centers are well positioned to accelerate AI-enabled transformation across the enterprise, leveraging their deep domain expertise and strong operational capabilities.

She also discussed how GCCs are evolving beyond traditional service delivery by working more closely with stakeholders and applying AI-enabled solutions to real business challenges. Just as important, she highlighted the value of collaboration, noting that some of the industry’s biggest challenges are too complex for any one organization to solve alone.

Our leaders also participated in sessions on future-ready talent, well-being, economic trends, data transformation, and other forces shaping the future of the industry.

They returned with fresh perspectives to support continued learning, collaboration, and transformation across SLGS PH.

Empowering the Next Generation of Women in Tech

IT Girls 2.0 is more than an internship program. Through the partnership between Sun Life Global Solutions Philippines, BrightWomen, and WiTech Batangas, it provides aspiring women in technology with opportunities to gain real-world experience, connect with industry professionals, and build the confidence to pursue careers in STEM.

Launched on May 6, 2026, IT Girls 2.0: Engineering the Next Gen of Innovators welcomed 28 interns from universities across the Philippines for an immersive internship experience designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and the professional world. The launch event introduced participants to Sun Life Global Solutions, provided insights into technology careers, connected them with mentors, and gave them a firsthand look at the innovation and digital transformation work happening within the organization.

Over the last two months, the interns immersed themselves in a global technology environment, collaborating with SLGS mentors and gaining valuable industry insights through real-world projects and hands-on learning experiences. Their journey culminated in IT Girls 2.0: Techkwentuhan, where interns and mentors gathered to reflect on key learnings, celebrate achievements, and share words of encouragement as they marked the end of a meaningful chapter in their professional growth.

By helping bridge the gap between academia and industry, IT Girls continues to empower more women to explore, thrive, and lead in technology.

Congratulations to our interns on completing this chapter of their journey. We can't wait to see the impact you'll create as the next generation of innovators, leaders, and changemakers. 💜

Discovering joy under one sun.

More than 1,150 employees and their loved ones came together for Family Day 2026: Farm Safari at The Fun Farm, celebrating the connections that make our SLGS PH community stronger.

From exploring the farm, enjoying family-friendly shows and sharing moments of laughter, the day was filled with opportunities to unplug, reconnect, and create lasting memories together. Families embraced the spirit of fun and togetherness while experiencing everything that made this year's celebration truly special.

The event also marked the launch of Bright Companion, our newest interest club for pet lovers, with employees and their furry companions stopping by the booth for photos and fun activities.
