Hundreds of people rejected me, and that made me happy.

Weird na ito yung naging realization ko when I visited the National Museum in Manila.

It was my first time there. Ang daming tao, so I was worried na baka hindi ko ma-enjoy.

Every room seemed crowded. Until I came to this room — the one in the photo.

Not a single person was looking at this painting when I came in. I wondered why?

Because to me, it’s so interestingly chaotic, colorful, confusing (even) the closer you look.

But para sakin… I love it! Haha

And so the realization came to me —

Just like that painting, not everyone will choose you. Not everyone will appreciate you. And that’s okay.

In a service-oriented career like mine, I know I’m not everyone’s first choice.

Madalas, kahit naging okay yung encounter ko with a buyer, minsan may ibang agent pa rin silang mas babagay.

Sometimes, it hurts deep down.

But now I understand — not being chosen doesn’t mean I’m not enough.

It just means we were never really meant to work together in the first place.

But hey, just like me towards that painting —

There will also be people who appreciate me, because my unique service is exactly what they needed, at exactly the time we met.

And that makes me happy.

I get to serve the people who deliberately chose me.
