And do not try to become someone you do not want to be, instead pursue your dreams that will make you feel that you are the happiest person in the world. This is the story of how Homer Lim pursued his passion and became who he is today.
The young man full of ambition fresh out of college and became an architect is still not content with what he became. During his days of being a project manager and a dean of architect he still continued his passion of taking care of animals as it is his hobby ever since he was a kid.
The business started small just enough to sustain the process, but he did not saw this as slow progress but only saw this as the first step to achieve his goal. And, this business venture is not only for himself, but also for the new generation or the Gen Z, that is why his animal farm is called the “Gen Z” to be able to inspire the youth to look back and remind them of the sacrifices and encourage them to be an entrepreneur like him.
Homer Lim started with the capital of 100,000 pesos to operate his business and as he continued to look for solutions for every problem he encountered his business continued to grow and now produces almost a million chickens, where every farm has advance technology that grows over 40 thousand chickens.
Do not be afraid to start small, instead be afraid not to start at all because in every aspect of life the first step is always the hardest that is why you need to choose what you want to pursue to be happy and be able to inspire others. As Homer Lim stated be creative, be smart and find happiness in everything that you do.
Homer Lim is not only all about improving his business but also improving the life of others, he gives out free advice to people who really have the passion to venture into the same business as he is. As stated before that he wants to inspire the Gen Z to pursue animal farming because it is a need in our society right now. Homer Lim is one of the rare people that really wants to make a change in the society for the betterment of it.
One of the problems that he encountered in his journey is the pests that always kill his animals as he started with the traditional way of animal farming and as he said the frequent changes of temperature causes stress to the animals that kills them. But this did not stop him rather he thought of different solutions that will reduce the possibility of death and make the animals more healthy.
