THROWBACK THURSDAY: Seeing photos pop up in my facebook memories of this awesome group of corePurpose trainers who graduated from our Train-the-trainer 4 years ago this week makes me realize how much I have missed training during the pandemic... As much as I appreciate Zoom, I can't wait till we can return to in-person trainings again -- I see a lot of articles online about "Zoom fatigue" but to me the bigger issue is the loss of face-to-face interactions. I look forward to the day when we don't have to hesitate and wonder if it's ok to give someone a hug...!

Sometimes we wish we could move forward in leaps and bounds when, in reality, taking small, incremental steps are more likely to keep us on track and get us to our ultimate goal. 🥰🥰🥰

The past year has taught us that there are many things we cannot control, but one thing we can do is practice the "5/10 Principle" & make an effort every day to revisit our "Happy Thoughts." In Psychology Today, Susan Reynolds shares that: "Happy people are more creative, solve problems faster, and tend to be more mentally alert." During this past year, I have been intentional about building "Happy Thoughts" -- having meal exchanges with my family, scheduling weekly catchups with friends on Zoom, and fostering rescue puppies! What are some of your "Happy Thoughts"??? 🥰🥰🥰

All of our lives have been turned upside-down in the past year, but the pandemic has also given us opportunities for growth! For me, working from home means I don't spend 2 hours a day commuting to an office -- with the extra time, I was able to do online courses in positive psychology and social media marketing. What positive growth have you experienced in the past year? ☺

“Balloons are like happiness. No one will find it looking for theirs only. Instead if everyone cares about each others they will find theirs as quickly as possible.” 🎈🎈🎈

A teacher brought balloons to school and asked the children to blow them all up and then each write their names on their balloon. They tossed all the balloons into the hall while the teacher mixed them from one end to the other. The teacher then gave them 5 minutes to find the balloon with their name on it. The children ran around, looking frantically but as the time ran out - nobody had found their own balloon…

Then the teacher told them to take the balloon closest to them and give it to the person who’s name was on it. In less than 2 minutes everyone had their own balloon.

Finally the teacher said, “Balloons are like happiness. No one will find it looking for theirs only. Instead if everyone cares about each others they will find theirs as quickly as possible.” 🎈
