SOUTH KOREA CONFIRMS 22% CRYPTO TAX WILL COVER PRIVATE WALLETS IN 2027 🔐

South Korea has confirmed its 2027 crypto tax will apply to income from private wallets and overseas exchanges, not just domestic platforms, with a 22% maximum rate after a 2.5 million won deduction. 📊

Since tracking self-custody transactions is difficult, the National Tax Service plans to deploy transaction-tracking systems and use international data-sharing frameworks like CARF for overseas exchanges. 🔄

Rules for staking, lending, airdrops, and hard forks are still being finalized, but implementation remains set for January 1, 2027. 📅
