All cats and kittens in our program are screened, tested and certified NEGATIVE for deadly viral diseases such as FELV/FIV, and genetic diseases such as HCM (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy), PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease), PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy), and other viral/bacterial/genetic diseases when applicable. Living with a cat is not a right but a privilege. For their benefit we do not consign or sell to pet shops, animal laboratories, or persons that are known animal abusers or are incapable of taking proper care of them. We also do not, under any circumstance, cat stud services to protect the breeds from unauthorized breeding and so they do not contribute to the feline overpopulation problem. After a long period of study we are now also breeding British Shorthairs, and outcrossing them with our Scottish Folds (this is allowed in TICA). After a great run, having won several awards, we retired our Sphynx breeding cats and breeding program in 2020. For our Scottish Folds, Straights & British Shorthairs; Interested parties may pay us a visit upon confirmation of an appointment after an initial screening. today's motivational advice

⚽ IT'S GAME TIME, CAT LOVERS! 🐾

The world's biggest football (soccer) celebration has officially kicked off — and let's be honest, your cat already called dibs on the best seat on the couch. 😼🛋️

For the next few weeks, it's all about:
🍿 Snacks (some for you, some "accidentally" for them)
🎉 Wild celebrations (please don't scare the cat)
😻 And a furry co-commentator judging every single pass

Because let's face it — nobody watches a match with more intensity than a cat watching the ball move across the screen. 👀⚽

May the best team win... and may your cat let you see at least half the screen. 🐱📺

Now tell us in the comments: Which country will lift the trophy this year? 🌍🏆

Bonus points if your prediction comes from your cat. 🔮🐾

A growing number of economists and demographers believe financial pressures are playing a major role in America’s declining birth rate.

With the cost of raising a child reaching hundreds of thousands of dollars in many parts of the country, younger generations are increasingly postponing parenthood. As a result, some analysts predict that pets may become a more realistic option than children for many couples struggling with the rising cost of living.

Scientists compared 19 children between 16 and 24 months old with 38 untrained pet dogs and 22 cats, asking a simple question: Who will spontaneously respond when a human appears to need help?

In the findings, all three groups paid similar levels of attention. But children and dogs were more likely to show helping-related behaviors—approaching, indicating or retrieving the object for the person. By the final trial, more than half the dogs and nearly half the toddlers indicated the object’s location, and some also brought it to the caregiver. Cats never approached it and only rarely indicated its location. http://spklr.io/6044E3PnM
