𝗧𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗴 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 — In support of the Bureau of Customs’ continuous efforts to strengthen trade facilitation mechanisms and foster collaboration among stakeholders, the 7th Trade Facilitation Working Group Meeting under the ARISE Plus Philippines Project was held via virtual conference.
Representing the Philippine Young Entrepreneurs Association (PYEA), 𝗠𝗿. 𝗦𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗷 𝗠𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗱, 𝗖𝗘𝗢 𝗼𝗳 𝗞𝗼𝗮𝗹𝗮 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲, joined national agencies and business organizations including the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Agriculture (DA), Philippine Exporters Confederation (PHILEXPORT), Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP), and the Women’s Business Council of the Philippines.
The meeting, presided by Atty. Julito L. Doria, Deputy Collector for Operations at the Port of Manila and Vice-Chair of the ARISE Plus BOC Project Team, centered on progress updates under the Year 3 Work Plan and the implementation of the Year 4 Work Plan (March 2024–February 2025). These efforts support the Bureau’s compliance with global standards under the World Trade Organization Trade Facilitation Agreement (WTO TFA) and the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA).

For Koala Workspace, participation in initiatives such as the ARISE Plus Project underscores the importance of building strong professional networks and institutional linkages. Through the PYEA, Koala Workspace continues to engage with government agencies, trade organizations, and private institutions—strengthening its clients’ access to wider markets and smoother business transactions.
This engagement also aligns with Koala Workspace’s advocacy of empowering startups, freelancers, and growing enterprises by connecting them with key players in trade, finance, and innovation. By fostering collaboration and understanding across sectors, the organization helps ensure that its members and clients benefit from streamlined trade processes and expanded business opportunities.

In his message, BOC Commissioner Bienvenido Y. Rubio reaffirmed the Bureau’s commitment to promoting operational efficiency and innovation through close coordination with its partners. The BOC’s ongoing partnership with organizations such as PYEA and Koala Workspace reflects a shared goal of building a more inclusive, transparent, and innovation-driven trade environment.
As an active member of the Philippine Young Entrepreneurs Association, Koala Workspace continues to participate in capacity-building discussions and policy initiatives that advance connectivity, digital readiness, and collaboration—core values that define its mission of creating workspaces and communities where businesses grow through meaningful partnerships.
