Well, the BIR doesn't forget. And even if your tax due is exactly โฑ0, "later" comes with a painful list of penalties.
If you miss a full year of compliance, even with zero tax due,the compromise penalties for 30 missed forms under EOPT look like this:
1601C (Compensation) | 12 months = โฑ6,000
0619E (Monthly EWT) | 8 months = โฑ4,000
1601EQ (Quarterly EWT) | 4 quarters = โฑ2,000
1701Q (Quarterly Income) | 3 quarters = โฑ1,500
1604E & 1604C (Annual Info) | 2 forms = โฑ1,000
1701 (Annual Income) | 1 form = โฑ500
Alphalist Penalty (EOPT Annual Cap) = โฑ12,500
๐จ Grand Total: โฑ27,500
But letโs be honest. When youโre replying to customers at 9 PM, packing orders, computing payroll, and trying to keep your business alive, tax deadlines are the first thing to slide.
TBH, you shouldnโt have to choose between growing your business and staying out of the BIR's penalty box.
If you're tired of doing it DIY, drop us a DM. We won't judge you.
