WHAT IS LIMESTONE ?
Limestone is sedimentary rock primarily composed of calcium carbonate (CaC03). It forms through the accumulation of marine organisms' shells and skeleton through the precipitation of calcium carbonate from water.
The purity of limestone — determined by its calcite content - defines its grade and usability. High — grade limestone contains over 80% calcite and minimal impurities making it ideal for industrial, agricultural, and construction application.
