𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: The Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Talisayan participated in the 𝟏𝟐𝟖𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, joining various government agencies, local government units, uniformed services, and community stakeholders in commemorating this historic occasion.

The activity featured a solemn tribute honoring the sacrifices and heroism of our national heroes and all those who fought for the nation’s freedom. The event also served to strengthen patriotism, national unity, and the collective commitment of government agencies and the community to uphold the values of independence.

Through this meaningful celebration, CGSS Talisayan joins the entire nation in reflecting on the significance of our hard-earned freedom, honoring the sacrifices of those who came before us, and inspiring every Filipino to contribute toward a stronger, safer, and more progressive Philippines.

Coast Guard Sub-Station Talisayan, successfully conducted an Information Campaign and Awareness on PCG Core Function, 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒂𝒇𝒆𝒕𝒚, 𝑺𝒆𝒄𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒚, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑬𝒏𝒗𝒊𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒍 𝑵𝒖𝒎𝒃𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑺𝒚𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒎 (𝑺𝑺𝑬𝑵) for fisherfolks association in Brgy. Mintabon, Talisayan, Misamis Oriental.

The discussion emphasized the PCG core functions and the importance of SSEN System registration, as well as the observance of safety measures when venturing at sea.

The activity aimed to enhance information dissemination, strengthen maritime safety awareness, and promote active community engagement, particularly during the rainy season and periods of inclement weather.

As part of the activity, WOW Pasta food packs products were also distributed to beneficiaries, bringing support and goodwill to the participating fisherfolks.

The activity was conducted in line with the Philippine Coast Guard’s iCARE Intensified Community Assistance, Awareness, Response, and Enforcement) Program, which aims to promote safety and security within the area of responsibility.

The Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Talisayan demonstrated its steadfast commitment to education, community service, and nation-building through its active participation Brigada Eskwela 2026.

Together with teachers, parents, barangay officials, and community stakeholders, CGSS Talisayan personnel participated in classroom cleaning, minor repairs, and campus improvement activities to help prepare schools for the opening of classes and ensure a safe and conducive learning environment for students. Likewise also conducted distribution of foods packs.

Aligned with the Philippine Coast Guard’s ICARE (Intensified Community Assistance, Awareness, Response, and Enforcement) Program, this initiative underscores our steadfast commitment to nation-building through service, volunteerism, and community partnership.

Through collective efforts and strong community partnerships, the Philippine Coast Guard remains steadfast in promoting social responsibility and contributing to the welfare and development of the communities it serves.

𝐂𝐆𝐒𝐒 𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐒𝐀𝐘𝐀𝐍 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐏𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐒 𝐈𝐍 𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐕𝐄 𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐓𝐘

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: On 30 May 2026 Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Talisayan personnel together with Municipal Police Station (MPS) Talisayan personnel actively participated in mangrove planting activity spearheaded by the Savior of the Sea Talisayan Chapter held at Brgy. Mintabon, Talisayan, Misamis Oriental.

A total of one hundred (100) mangrove propagules were planted during the activity, strengthening efforts toward environmental protection, coastal rehabilitation, and the preservation of marine ecosystems within the area of responsibility.

Through collective action and community partnership, the Philippine Coast Guard remains committed to safeguarding our coastal environment for future generations.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: Coast Guard Sub-Station Talisayan, successfully conducted a Community Outreach Activity at the vicinity waters off Talisayan, Misamis Oriental, as part of its continuing commitment to strengthen community relations and promote maritime safety among local fisherfolk.

During the activity, Coast Guard personnel distributed Food Packs to fisherfolks actively engaged in fishing ventures within the area. The initiative aimed to extend assistance and uplift the morale of local fisherfolk, while fostering camaraderie and cooperation between the Philippine Coast Guard and coastal communities.

Likewise, conducted information dissemination regarding the importance of registering motorbancas under the Safety, Security, and Environmental Numbering System (SSEN) of the Philippine Coast Guard to ensure proper identification and enhance maritime safety and security. Fishermen were also reminded to observe safety measures at sea, prioritize the seaworthiness of their motorbanca, and refrain from bringing minors and illegal activity during fishing operations to safeguard lives and promote responsible maritime practices.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒: In line with the Philippine Coast Guard Intensified Community Assistance, Awareness, Response, and Enforcement (iCARE) Program, Coast Guard Sub-Station Talisayan successfully conducted Community Outreach Program to the participants of the Talisayan Summer Sports Clinic 2026 in Talisayan, Misamis Oriental.

This activity gives them the energy and strength to play their best and enjoy the training session. The PCG engaged with participating children and teenagers through the distribution of simple snacks. This meaningful initiative reflects the Philippine Coast Guard’s unwavering commitment to extending assistance beyond its maritime mandate by fostering stronger partnerships with local communities and to promote youth development, discipline, and community engagement through the iCARE Program.

This activity reflects the Philippine Coast Guard’s dedication not only to maritime safety and security, but also to uplifting and caring for communities in need.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: In observance of Holy Week and Summer Vacation (SUMVAC), the Coast Guard Sub-Station Talisayan conducted intensified Baywatch Patrols through Mobile, Foot, and Seaborne Operations under 𝐎𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐍 𝐁𝐘𝐀𝐇𝐄𝐍𝐆 𝐀𝐘𝐎𝐒: 𝐒𝐄𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐀 𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐀 & 𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐕𝐀𝐂 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔.

These intensified patrols are being carried out to ensure the safety and security of beachgoers, uphold maritime safety standards, and maintain a visible Coast Guard presence throughout the observance of Holy Week and the summer season.

Through continuous monitoring and immediate response readiness, Coast Guard Sub-Station Talisayan remains committed to safeguarding the public and promoting a safe, orderly, and enjoyable coastal environment for all.
