If you've been a long-time suki of our beans, you already know that we normally offer only two roast levels: Medium Roast or Dark Roast. Nothing in between.
But this time, we decided to take a little risk. ๐
Our City Roast Arabica is that in-between roastโnot too medium, not too dark. It has a deeper colour and a slight sheen on the beans, giving it that medium-to-dark appearance, while still being lighter than our usual Dark Roast.
We don't usually offer this roast because consistency can be quite challenging. For this particular profile, the beans need to be pulled out of the heat at just the right moment, right as the second crack begins. Even a little extra time can push the beans darker and change the final roast profile.
But this time, we took the chance and tested if our supplier could finally produce it consistently.
And thank God, they delivered! ๐๐ป๐ค
