NutriSOYASMS, an agri-enterprise from North Eastern Mindanao State UniversityโSan Miguel Campus, won the Young Farmers Challenge (YFC) Intercollegiate Regional Level organized by the Department of AgricultureโCaraga Region. The team received 250,000 pesos as startup capital to support the establishment of their agri-enterprise.
The agri-enterprise pitching was held on December 3, 2025, at the Grand Palace Hotel, Butuan City, while the awarding ceremony took place on December 15, 2025, at the Balanghai Hotel and Convention Center, Butuan City, Agusan del Norte. During the ceremony, winners from the YFC Start-up and Upscale levels were also recognized and awarded startup funds for their respective enterprises.
NutriSOYASMS features soya milk as its flagship product, promoting nutritious and value-added agricultural innovation. The winning team is composed of Jan Rix M. Sabiaga, Aj Mae B. Mosquiter, and Kathleen Cristy A. Sequira, with Jocelyn P. Serrano, MSCS, serving as their coach.
With this achievement, NutriSOYASMS has qualified to compete at the National Level of the Young Farmers Challenge in March 2026, representing NEMSUโSan Miguel Campus and the Caraga Region for YFC Intercollegiate Level. | via Jan Rix Sabiaga
