Carmen Copper Corporation, together with infrastructure partner Black & Veatch, received the Enlit Asia 2026 Innovation Award for Energy Transition and Emerging Solutions for the Philippines’ first operating megawatt-scale floating solar PV facility.

Located at Carmen Copper’s Malubog Reservoir in Toledo City, Cebu, the 4.99-MW facility features 8,540 solar panels and supplies about 10% of the Carmen Concentrator Mill Plant’s power requirements.

The recognition underscores Carmen Copper’s commitment to responsible mining, environmental stewardship, and innovative solutions that support the transition to cleaner energy.

The momentous day began with a Thanksgiving Mass, a meaningful reminder that a successful organization is built not only on modern equipment, tools, and technology, but, above all, on faith, its people, and the values that guide us in our shared journey.

CCC also extends its heartfelt gratitude to Rev. Msgr. Marnell S. Meija, officiating priest of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish (OLMCP), for leading the Thanksgiving Mass and helping make this celebration a meaningful one.

As Carmen Copper Corporation celebrates 22 years, we give thanks for the people, experiences, and blessings that have shaped our legacy and continue to inspire us as we move forward.

The Carmen Copper Emergency Response Team (CC-ERT), composed of seven trained members in Mountain Search and Rescue (MOSAR) and Basic First Aid, served as volunteers during the Cebu City Trailfest Pamutan Ultra 2026 held on August 22–23, 2026, in Barangay Pamutan, Cebu City.

Deployed in the mountainous areas of Cabatbatan, the team provided first aid and medical assistance at the aid station while another group remained on standby along the Cabatbatan riverbanks, ready to respond to emergencies along the race route.
