Ipinababatid ng Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) sa publiko na ang Land-Based Service Contracting Program (LBSCP) Portal ay isasailalim sa isang nakatakdang system update simula 11:00 PM ng April 21, 2026 hanggang 2:00 AM ng April 22, 2026, bilang bahagi ng patuloy na pagpapabuti ng serbisyo at sistema nito.

Dahil dito, pansamantalang hindi magagamit ang LBSCP Portal habang isinasagawa ang naturang maintenance. Pinapayuhan ang lahat ng mga operator at driver na planuhin ang kanilang mga transaksyon nang naaayon upang maiwasan ang anumang abala sa panahong ito.

Inaasahan naman na maibabalik ang normal na operasyon ng portal kaagad matapos ang nakatakdang system update.

A motorcycle taxi rider died while in line to get cash relief assistance at Quezon Memorial Circle on Saturday.

Department of Social Welfare and Development Secretary Rex Gatchalian immediately ordered DSWD personnel to contact the family, DSWD spokesperson Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao said, according to a report by Sam Nielsen on Super Radyo DZBB on Sunday.

House Assistant Majority Leader Brian Poe called out ride-hailing apps over supposedly not following through with commitments on decreasing commissions. Shown below is the table of adjusted commission percentages promised by apps, according to Poe,

JoyRide’s Jerico Meneses said they will get back to lawmakers within the day about lowering the base rate to be deducted from motorists to 15 percent from 20 percent.According to Meneses, the commission is down to 15 percent for those who made 13 trips in a day in order to motivate them to work, citing “public service.”

But Rep. Quimbo asked JoyRide to make the 15 percent commission applicable to all motorists.

Move It’s Wayne Jacinto said their commission system is also tiered.

Jacinto said they would like to decrease the percentage altogether, but they are also thinking about the welfare of riders as they provide insurance. | via Agatha Gregorio, ABS-CBN News
