The Bureau of Fire Protection โ€“ Tukuran Municipal Fire Station personnel participated in the Qualci Meet 2026 Coordination Meeting organized by the Department of Education (DepEd) โ€“ Tukuran West District, together with representatives from various national government agencies and partner stakeholders.

The coordination meeting served as a venue to discuss and align plans, roles, and responsibilities in preparation for the upcoming Qualci Meet 2026. The discussions focused on ensuring the smooth, safe, and well-coordinated implementation of the event through strengthened inter-agency collaboration.

As part of its commitment to public safety, the Bureau of Fire Protection remains steadfast in supporting DepEd and its partner agencies by promoting fire safety awareness, emergency preparedness, and effective coordination to help ensure a safe and successful Qualci Meet 2026 for all participants.

The Bureau of Fire Protection โ€“ Tukuran Municipal Fire Station (Tukuran MFS) successfully responded to an emergency home birth incident.

Upon receipt of the report, the responding team immediately proceeded to the scene to provide prompt emergency medical assistance. Upon arrival, a female patient was found conscious, alert, and oriented, lying supine on a bed after safely delivering a live baby girl. BFP personnel immediately rendered newborn care, including drying and warming the infant, ensuring a patent airway, performing proper umbilical cord care.

Following a smooth delivery, the placenta was completely expelled with no signs of heavy maternal bleeding. Both mother and newborn were transported in stable condition via LGU Ambulance to Tukuran RHU. Upon arrival, care was seamlessly transferred to the attending physician for ongoing evaluation and management.

This successful response highlights the Bureau of Fire Protection's commitment to delivering timely and compassionate emergency medical services, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and child.

Through this collaborative initiative, participants practiced proper evacuation procedures, safety protocols, and coordinated emergency response to promote a safer and more resilient learning environment.
