"The mind is such a terrible thing to waste" - Arthur Fletcher
I am a person who has more than 8 years of experience with enterprise development, managing, and mentoring communities in establishing their desired enterprises. I had handled the different types of enterprises such as honey, teas, chips, handicrafts, and manila copal from different parts of the Philippines as an officer of a non-profi
t organization. Working for a non-profit organization is no joke; the staffs are usually a one-man team in the field, from planning, implementing, and evaluating including administrative works are handled by that staff. Because of this experience, I have sharpened my critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision making to achieve the organization and community goals. I was trained to mentor different types of people in different situations, from the youngest to the eldest, from educated to people who cannot read and write. As I continue with my personal journey, I never left any of the things that I have learned. I recently decided to pursue my interest in working around computers, and the closest possible thing is freelancing as a virtual assistant. That is why I have decided to enroll myself in an online scholarship program by the Department of Information Communication and Technology (DICT) for Social Media Marketing, which I have completed last September. However, I felt that it is not enough to be a competitive applicant for online freelancing which is why I enrolled again with DICT for Virtual Assistant training. Now I am equipped with better knowledge on the following:
- Email management
- Web research
- Data entry
- Canva tool
- Trello
- Social Media Management
- Live chat
- Photo and video editing
- Social Media Management
And I might be new to online freelancing, but I am excited to incorporate all my knowledge and apply it to each contract that I will be entering.
