Launch of the new members of the National Panel of Technical Experts

Dr. Jimmy T. Masagca, an expert in fisheries and mangroves, aims to contribute in mainstreaming mangrove protection and blue carbon restoration.
“I'm expecting to contribute something on climate change policies to mainstreaming management of mangrove protection and blue carbon restoration in sectoral groups participation, policies and better coordination of goals in collaboration between the key government agencies, CSOs and grassroots creating MPAs (Marine Protected Areas), the policies on coastal aquaculture particularly on mangrove crops, and finally reducing emissions from reforestation from the mangrove areas in the Philippines.”
