The blessed grave of the mother of Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him), the leader of both worlds, Hazrat Amina (may Allah be pleased with her), is located in the sacred city of Medina. According to historical records, Hazrat Amina (may Allah be pleased with her) lost her father, Hazrat Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him), before the birth of Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him). After the birth of Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him), Hazrat Amina (may Allah be pleased with her) raised her only son with patience and perseverance. After the blessed birth, Hazrat Amina (may Allah be pleased with her) entrusted Hazrat Halima Sa'diyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) to raise him according to the customs of the time. When Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him) was about six years old, Hazrat Amina (may Allah be pleased with her) took him to Medina. Upon returning, Hazrat Amina (may Allah be pleased with her) was buried in the place of Abwa, where her tears flowed. These blessed narrations prove that later on, Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him) visited the grave of his mother at Abwa and tears flowed from her blessed eyes. This was an expression of love, respect, and devotion from a son to his mother, which also moved the noble Companions (may Allah be pleased with them). The character of Hazrat Amina (may Allah be pleased with her) is a shining example of patience, sacrifice, motherly love, and great character, which is always remembered with respect in Islamic history.
