2nd/2026 meeting of FPCCI's Central Standing Committee on Import & Export Trade held on 9th July 2026 at FPCCI President Secretariat Islamabad, convened by Mr. Tahir Rasheed Bhutta, Convener of the Committee The meeting was graced by Mr. Atif Ikram Sheikh, President FPCCI; Brig. Syed Nadir Hussain Shah, SI (M), Project Director IT & Telecom Technologies, Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC); Mr. Tariq Khan Jadoon, Vice President FPCCI; and Mr. Karim Aziz Malik, Incharge, FPCCI Capital Office, whose presence added great value to the proceedings. The Committee held comprehensive deliberations on the challenges and emerging opportunities in Pakistan's IT import and export sector, with particular emphasis on strengthening the country's global competitiveness. Members reviewed the initiatives undertaken by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) to promote the IT and telecom industries and discussed key policy, regulatory, and operational bottlenecks hindering the sector's growth. The Committee also formulated recommendations aimed at enhancing Pakistan's IT exports, attracting foreign and domestic investment, facilitating ease of doing business, and accelerating the development of a robust and sustainable digital economy through close collaboration between the government and the private sector.
