A fire broke out in the Gynae ward at PIMS Hospital, Islamabad, resulting in the tragic loss of 14 newborn infants.

The incident reportedly began in the nursery and spread rapidly near oxygen points connected to incubators. Hospital staff attempted to evacuate and assist patients. The incident also highlights the importance of strong fire safety measures and emergency preparedness in healthcare facilities.
