Today I conducted an IELTS Speaking Mock Exam with my students to help them practice fluency, pronunciation, and confidence. The session followed the real IELTS speaking format, and students received feedback to improve their performance for the actual test.

Over the years, English has been taught through Grammar Translation Method (GTM) although it enhances Reading and Writing skills, yet it neglects Listening and Speaking skills, which are the essential communicative skills in English acquisition.

Expanding vocabulary, memorizing some grammatical structures and having grip on grammar are not enough, for excellent communication, both receptive and productive skills are important. Right after their acquisition, one has to acquire the 7 Cs of communication skills to speak fluent and impeccable English.

Teaching English at has been an incredibly rewarding journey. Being part of such a prestigious institution has not only strengthened my professional skills but also broadened my perspective as an educator. Each class has offered new insights, meaningful interactions, and opportunities for growth.
