Farmers Announce Protest in Islamabad on September 25
Islamabad: The Kisan Ittehad has announced a protest in Islamabad on September 25 in support of its demands, including a demonstration outside Parliament House.
Farmers’ leaders said they are seeking effective government measures to address the challenges facing the agricultural sector, including the wheat procurement policy, rising production costs, and the economic difficulties faced by farmers.
According to the Kisan Ittehad, the new wheat cultivation season is approaching, but farmers remain concerned over the lack of a clear government policy regarding wheat procurement and pricing. The leaders have urged the government to take immediate steps to address their concerns.
Meanwhile, efforts are reportedly underway at the government level to resolve farmers’ issues through negotiations with their representatives. The Kisan Ittehad has stated that if no progress is made on their demands, the protest will be held in Islamabad on September 25.
