BREAKING NEWS: UPWORK Launch A New Freelancer Profile Layout
Description:
UpWork rolling out a new design for freelancer profiles that showcases your experience in a different way. Upwork redesigned the Freelancer profile as part of continued improvements that will help Freelancer better showcase your skills and experience to win more jobs. Upwork tested this new design and found that clients who saw freelancers with this new layout were more likely to post a job and send them an invitation.
Some key changes to this new design are:
If you have a specialized profile, your total earnings, a total number of jobs and a total number of hours worked will always be visible on a static sidebar. These stats will be displayed alongside your earning, # of jobs, and # of hours for the specific type of work your specialized profile is highlighting.
On a desktop, your work history is higher up in your profile
If your specialized profile is about Design and Creative work, your portfolio will be more visible.
Your “General Profile” is now labeled more intuitively as “All Work” since it is a summary of all of your experience.
As a freelancer, you will still be able to edit your profile the same way by clicking the edit icon next to the section that you want to edit.
Keep in mind that your Work History and Portfolio items can be customized per Specialized Profile. Any portfolio items you add to a Specialized Profile will always automatically appear in your “All Work” view, too. We will continue to make improvements over time. Thanks for sharing your feedback.
