You look left. You look right. You look ahead and behind you. And every time your head turns, your eyes lose themselves in the landscape. You can hardly believe that something so beautiful can exist.
We hiked up to Desan Meadows up in Swat today. There is currently no road going there, so you need to hike all the way up from the bottom to the top of the valley, through rock and forest.
A local told us “oh it’s only two hours”, but... he didn’t mention that was at a local’s pace 😂 In reality, it turned out to be a whole-day affair. But each step revealed otherworldly views. I always thought places like this could be found only in Europe and the USA.
But here we are, in South Asia, surrounded by so much beauty that it’s sometimes difficult to take it all in.
