Business Development Training Session on "Creating Business from Opportunities"
The Student Startup Business Centre (SSBC), COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), successfully conducted an online Business Development Training Session titled "Creating Business from Opportunities" on 20 July 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, at the CUI Islamabad Campus.
The session was organized for enrolled SSBC students from CUI Islamabad, Lahore, Vehari, and Wah Campuses as part of the SSBC Business Development Training Program, which aims to equip aspiring entrepreneurs with the knowledge and skills required to identify and transform opportunities into sustainable business ventures.
The training was delivered by Dr. Adil Tahir Paracha, Assistant Professor, Department of Management Sciences, COMSATS University Islamabad, who shared practical insights on opportunity identification, opportunity evaluation, innovation, and the process of converting promising ideas into viable business ventures. The interactive session encouraged students to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and explore emerging market opportunities.
All enrolled students from the participating campuses attended the session online and actively participated in the discussions and question-and-answer segment. The session concluded successfully, reflecting SSBC's continued commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and supporting startup development among COMSATS University students.

Business Development Training Session
The Student Startup Business Centre (SSBC), COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), successfully conducted an online Business Development Training Session on "The Business Plan" on July 16, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the CUI Islamabad Campus.
The session was organized for the enrolled SSBC students from COMSATS University Islamabad, Islamabad, campus Vehari, Lahore, and Wah campus. The objective of the training was to enhance students' understanding of developing comprehensive and effective business plans for their startup ventures.
The resource person for the session was Dr. Mahwish Parveen, Assistant Professor, Department of Management Sciences, COMSATS University Islamabad, Islamabad Campus. Dr. Parveen delivered an informative and interactive session, covering the key components of a successful business plan, practical approaches to business planning, and strategies for presenting business ideas effectively.
All enrolled students from the participating campuses attended the session online and actively participated in the discussion. The training concluded successfully, providing valuable knowledge and practical insights to the aspiring student entrepreneurs.

Successful Conduct of Online Business Development Training Session
The Student Startup Business Centre (SSBC), COMSATS University Islamabad, successfully conducted an online Business Development Training Session on Entrepreneurship on July 13, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Video Conference Room (VCR), COMSATS University Islamabad Campus.
The training session was organized for the enrolled startups and students of SSBC from the Islamabad, Lahore, Wah, and Vehari Campuses. The session aimed to enhance participants' entrepreneurial knowledge and strengthen their understanding of the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and business development.
The session was delivered by Dr. Muhammad Arsalan Ahmed Khan, Assistant Professor, Department of Management Sciences, COMSATS University Islamabad. Dr. Khan shared valuable insights on entrepreneurship, opportunity identification, innovation, and the essential competencies required for building successful startup ventures.
All enrolled SSBC students from the participating campuses attended the session online and actively participated in the interactive discussion. The session concluded with a question-and-answer segment, during which students sought guidance on various enting session was highly informative and well received by the participants, contribrepreneurial and startup-related challenges.

SSBC Business Idea Pitching Presentation & Batch-14 Enrolment
The Student Startup Business Centre (SSBC), COMSATS University Islamabad, successfully organized its Idea Pitching Competition before the SSBC Management Committee as part of the startup evaluation and incubation process.
During the meeting, the Management Committee evaluated four (4) shortlisted startups from Batch-13 for Seed Funding. Each startup presented its business idea, business model, market potential, and commercialization strategy. Following a comprehensive evaluation, two (2) startups were approved for Seed Funding to support the development and commercialization of their innovative ventures.
The Management Committee also reviewed applications received for Batch-14 enrollment. A total of 70 applications were received from aspiring student entrepreneurs across COMSATS University Islamabad. After an initial screening process, 37 applicants were shortlisted to present their business ideas before the Committee.
Of the shortlisted applicants, 34 students appeared for the final pitching session. Based on the quality of their presentations, innovation, feasibility, market potential, and the Committee's overall assessment, eight (8) student startups were selected for enrollment in Batch-14 of the Student Startup Business Centre (SSBC).
SSBC congratulates all the successful startups and appreciates the enthusiasm and innovative spirit demonstrated by all participants. The Centre remains committed to nurturing entrepreneurial talent by providing mentorship, business development support, networking opportunities, and access to seed funding for promising student-led ventures.
