Pink Tax removal was step one. Here’s what’s next.
Pakistan scrapped the sales tax on menstrual products, but our market check found prices barely moved (~Rs 5 avg drop despite an 18% cut). Raw-material tax and import duty are still on.
So under MHAAN led by Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA) , Global Health Connect along with Saheli took 3 asks to Pakistan’s NCSW : period products in schools, Setting up women-led reusable-pad businesses, and a stakeholder meeting on implementation.
