How to Rank Your Listing Without Doing Ads.
A new client had a listing that was missing a few valuable keywords, I added them into the Bullets, Description, and Search Terms…I could not add them to the title, because the title length was maxed out and I did not want to remove any of the other valuable terms from the title to fit this in.
So I added it to the bullets, Description, and Search terms, and without even directly targeting it via PPC, we had a direct improvement in organic keywords position ranking.
Now my title of this video is misleading because PPC can definitely help this term, but I wanted to point out that even without the PPC, It made a positive impact.
The PPC and Deals we will now start running will drive traffic and conversions which will help the terms even more, and it becomes a snowball effect, the more conversions amazon sees, the more they will push it for other related terms.
Tips:
1. Keyword Stuff all your Good Keywords, But it still must be easy to read for the buyers.
2. Strategically maneuver long-tail keywords so you can fit them in without having to remove any good terms. A long-tail keyword that contains the main keyword is a great move to add anywhere in the listing.
3. If you don't see an immediate change in rank for that term, within 3 days, hit it with some PPC, PPC placement does not need to be Top of the page, It just needs to get some traffic to index, and then the Sales will bump it up to the top, But its proven that traffic alone will jump-start it and get it showing on the pages, but keep in mind if you don't get sales after a while it will hurt the listing, on that one term, and possibly on other related terms.
4. Always max out the description, even though you are still using EBC and the Description may be hidden, The Amazon Algorithm still will pick this up, So maximize the description back end, which is 2,000 characters.
5. Don't add irrelevant terms to your backend or it will mess up your PPC and organic rankings.
6. Fill in all the optional fields so you appear in the filters when the buyer is searching.
7. Always Do keyword research on both your competitor's listings, and of course on your own listing, and when you pull the keywords make sure you always run a fresh pull on your listing, as the amount of keywords and the placements should improve(if you're doing it right)
That's it for today.
