PIE has announced that maintenance work will begin on October 14, 2025, at 11:00 AM (Pakistan Standard Time) to repair a faulty repeater in an undersea cable.

This activity may last for approximately 18 hours, during which users might experience slow internet speed or partial service disruption.

انٹرنیٹ صارفین کے لیے اہم اطلاع PIE کی جانب سے اعلان کیا گیا ہے کہ ایک زیرِ سمندر کیبل میں موجود خراب ریپیٹر کی مرمت کے لیے 14 اکتوبر 2025 کو صبح 11 بجے (پاکستان اسٹینڈرڈ ٹائم) سے مرمتی کام شروع کیا جائے گا۔
یہ سرگرمی تقریباً 18 گھنٹے تک جاری رہ سکتی ہے، جس کے دوران صارفین کو انٹرنیٹ سروس میں سست رفتاری یا جزوی خلل کا سامنا ہو سکتا ہے۔

کمپنی کی جانب سے اس ممکنہ تکلیف پر معذرت کا اظہار کیا گیا ہے۔

Following up on last week's update, internet traffic in Pakistan is still slow and affected due to cuts in undersea cables. We're working closely with our upstream providers to resolve the issue. Please note that the impact of the submarine cable cuts is primarily observed during peak hours.

Additionally, there will be a planned maintenance activity on another submarine cable system on 21st September 2025 between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with a backup window on 22nd September. This may cause internet slowness for short periods during the maintenance.

Dear Customers,

We would like to inform that submarine cable cuts have occurred in Saudi waters near Jeddah, impacting Partial bandwidth capacity on SMW4 and IMEWE systems. As a result, internet users in Pakistan may experience some service degradation during peak hours.

Our international partners are working on priority to resolve the issue, while our local teams are actively arranging alternative bandwidth to minimize the impact. We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

We are experiencing a nationwide internet slowdown due to an outage in one of our two upstream providers. This issue is impacting a major part of internet traffic across Pakistan.
