“Amazon for Newbies”

When working on Amazon, there are many questions that come in an investor or VA mind, I will try to answer most of them today. I hope my post will be full of knowledge for newbies

1- What are different models to work on Amazon
There are different types of models within Amazon in different marketplaces, which include

· Private Label (UK, USA, Germany, etc.)
· Wholesale (UK, USA, Germany, Canada, France, etc.)
· Micro Private Label (UAE, KSA, Canada, France, Italy, etc.)
· Online Arbitrage (UK, USA, etc.)
· Dropshipping (UK, USA, Canada, etc.)

In simple words Private Label means building your brand on big marketplaces which will requires high investment. Micro Private Label has the same concept of building brand but in small marketplaces. In Wholesale model we do not build our brand. We sell other brands products by attaching to their listings (referred as me too) with the main brand approval and permission. In Online Arbitrage we build a relationship with online retailers with the main purpose of selling their product on Amazon (keeping our profit), it is a risky model but less risky then drop shipping. In Drop shipping we are a middle man between the costumer and the retailer, there is no concept of buying stock from the supplier rather we build an agreement with our supplier so when we receive order we ask them to ship to the costumer. Drop shipping has a high risk on Amazon and I don’t recommend that to anyone.

2- Is Amazon risky to invest in?
When we are working in any E commerce platform, risk cannot be denied. There is always risk and on Amazon there is also risk. We can apply a proper plan of action and techniques to decrease our risk and enhance chances of successful launch.

3- What are the techniques for successful launch?

1- Spend majority of your time in product hunting for private label and brand hunting for wholesale
Good product with proper stats, analysis and research will increase your chance of success for sure. You need to play really calm during this stage and spend as much time you can on product hunting. Every marketplace has its own criteria of product hunting, so you need to view the criteria from VBC before jumping into the product hunting phase.

2- Building strong relations with our supplier or brand in case of wholesale

Another important factor involves building a strong relation with your supplier or main brand in case of wholesale. Good relation will result in no out of stock issue, which means no negative impact on our seller ratting.

3- Your Listing needs to be unique and eye catching (Private Label)
There must be 100’s of listing of your particular product when working on Amazon. You need to make sure your listing is unique and is eye catching for the costumer, which will increase your sales for sure.

4- Your fulfillment channel needs to be FBA
There are two fulfillment channels, one is fulfillment by Amazon and other is fulfillment by merchant (Seller). To increase your visibility you need to be doing FBA.
There can be so other techniques that can be implemented, you can brainstorm yourself and you will find enough ideas.
