Feeling safe in familiar surroundings with family and friends and the reassurance of 24-hour, one-to-one nursing. Round the clock care, seven days a week, is provided for clients or couples for short-term (minimum 4 days) or long-ter
m bookings. Live-in Nurses are assigned based on particular areas of expertise and carefully matched so that a good relationship is fostered from an early stage. Our Nurse Co-ordinators are office-based, all registered nurses and are always on hand day and night to provide expert help and advice. Together with our Live-in Nurses, they work closely with families and other healthcare professionals to provide a coordinated, holistic care package. A listening ear and invaluable company provides reassurance and guidance to individuals and as well as attending to medical needs. It all adds up to make day-to-day living far more enjoyable and far less stressful for clients and their families, which means life can go on as normally as possible. Short-term bookings typically include:
respite care,
when a regular nurse or family member needs a break
rehabilitation
for people who need nursing care following surgery, a period of illness, or hospitalisation
end-of-life/palliative nursing care
for clients who want to stay in the comfort of their own home
clients who want to avoid a hospital admission or seek earlier discharge from hospital. Long-term bookings - typically on a two-week rotation – are suited to:
chronic medical illnesses such as multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, strokes or Parkinson’s disease
dementia and Alzheimer’s disease
frail clients who do not want to move into a residential nursing home. How we fit into your daily routine
Nurses work a minimum 12-hour day, usually between 8am and 8pm, with a 2-hour break, but Consultus offers a bespoke nursing service, giving you the reassurance that someone is always on hand beyond these hours and throughout the night.
