A hikers guesthouse in Skardu. The aspiration is to create an architectural promenade on site that reflects the experience of the macro context. Playing with split levels and hide and reveal, the architect hopes to create an exciting rest space embedded in a nature reserve; making the essence of Skardu shine on site.

Fabrics like matte velvet and suede accentuated the softness of the grey and blush pink color palette.

Furniture was custom designed to maximize storage space without compromising aesthetic.

The room was very linear; thus the wardrobes, TV credenza, and vanity table were coupled up to form one feature.

This would read as a single wall element yet host multiple functions.

Every element was designed with the utmost care and sensitivity to human experience, as per Mitra’s design philosophy.
