Meeting Between Bread. Most of you should know me pretty well. I don’t accept very many friends of friends because I feel it’s not for me. And of late not a fan of the platform. Almost every FB friend I have known on some level, you are not just a number. But if you are on my FB, it’s because we have some connection. I would love to see if we can still chat more than just likes... I decided to participate in an experience called “Meeting between Bread”. The idea is to see who reads a post without a photo. We are so consumed with technology that we forget the most important thing: good friendship. If no one is reading this message, it will be a short social experiment. But if you finish this till the end, I would love you to comment in ONE WORD about us. For example, a place, an object, a person, a moment in which you remember us. Then copy this post and post it on your page (don’t share) and I’ll go to your page and leave a word that reminds me of you. Please don’t comment if you don’t have time to copy the text. 1. Why beneficiation

Beneficiation/concentration of ore leads to up gradation of medium to low grade ore to high grade by removing gangue material. The obvious advantages are:

• Savings in freight - since no freight has to be paid on the waste discarded during the process of beneficiation.
• Reduced losses of metal at the end user - because of reduction in amount of metal bearing slag.
• Reduction in total processing cost - because of tonnage to be processed.
• The end user is willing to pay a better price for the up graded material.

2. Operating steps

Beneficiation of ore involves following four types of principal operations. They are:

i. Comminution.
ii. Sizing.
iii. Concentration
iv. Dewatering

Comminution

Comminution means reduction to smaller size and is the most important step for liberation of ore and gangue. It is accomplished either on the dry ore or in aqueous pulp. Depending on the size of the material being comminuted, the operation is regarded as crushing or grinding. Crushing is almost always conducted on dry ore, and grinding may be wet or dry.

Sizing

Sizing is the separation of a material into products characterized by difference in size. This can be accomplished by screening or by classifying, the later being a sizing method depending upon the relationship existing between the size of mineral particles and their settling velocity in a fluid medium, generally water or air.

Concentration

Concentration may be accomplished by washers, sluice boxes, shaking tables, flotation cells, magnetic separators, electrostatic separators, or other specific concentrating devices. It can also be achieved by screens, classifiers, or a combination of screens and classifiers.

Dewatering

Dewatering is generally carried only to the extent of producing a damp cake, in two steps; first in thickeners to remove most of the water; then in filters, which receive the thickened pulp and yield the damp mineral cake. If further dewatering is desired, driers requiring fuel for evaporation of moisture are essential.

Auxiliary operations are naturally quite diverse. They involve storing in bins, conveying (by conveyors, feeders, elevators, or pumps), sampling, weighing, reagent feeding, pulp, distributing, etc.

حضرت تھانویؒ نے میرٹھ میں ایک جلسہ میں کہا تھا کہ تم علماء کو اپنا محتاج سمجھتے ہو تو ان کو دینا بند کر دو ، جلسہ کرکے سب لوگ اتفاق کرلو اپنی امداد روک لو، الحمدللہ ہم کو کچھ پرواہ نہیں، ہم میں سے کچھ چاول کی دکان کرلیں گے کچھ آٹا دال کی کچھ اور چیزوں کی مگر اس حالت میں تم اپنی اور اپنی اولاد کی فکر کرو پچاس سال بعد تمہاری اولاد کا کیا حشر ہوگا
کچھ یہودی ہو گی کچھ نصرانی، کچھ آریہ، معاذاللہ (الله کی پناہ) کیونکہ ان آفات سے مانع (بچانے والی) تعلیم ہے اور اس صورت میں علماء تعلیم کے لیے فارغ نہ ہو نگے [ان کے پاس پڑھانے کا وقت نہیں ہو گا وہ اپنی دکان پر بیٹھے ہونگے]
