Khawaja Abdul Hameed (Late) who found ''Khawaja Traders'' at a spot in Lahore's infamous Akbari Mandi, with the intention of providing agricultural produce to consumers, national and foreign, and aspired to suffice the criterion of all kinds of customers. By 1958, his firm had evolved to a renowned sugar and pulse supplying house around the market and by 1968, he had established a rice husking uni
t in Shahdara, Lahore. This establishment was relocated and transformed into a rice husking/ processing unit by 1971, at Okara, and was labeled ''Khawaja Rice Industries''. Before long, Khawaja Muhammad Farrukh Shahzad and Khawaja Muhammad Amir Nadeem, Khawaja Abdul Hameed's sons joined the trade cycle under the directions of their father, in 1981. Amazingly, they managed to pull of extraordinary success in the market. They launched a range of self customized brands and procured wide spread acknowledgement. Now, they awaited an opening to do something even bigger. In 1992, Khawaja Muhammad Amir Nadeem and Khawaja Muhammad Farrukh Shahzad , both managed to put together two rice processing setups and named the units ''Khawaja Rice Industries'' and ''Khawaja Rice International''.

Export has been the company's line of endeavor since 1989. Although at a discrete and minute scale, Khawaja Rice International was supplying buyers abroad from the shadows. It was in 1998 that our firm fully broke through, when we began supplying customers from Dubai on a regular basis. Our produce hence began circulation in Dubai, Iran, Muscat, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Mauritius, The United Kingdom, Zanzibar, Comoros and the ports of South Africa.
