Pakistani pilot Aamer Waheed achieved a remarkable 6th position in the 14th Jet World Masters competition held in Italy, marking a historic achievement for Pakistan. This was the country's second participation in the event, with Aamer Waheed as the pilot and team manager and his friend Wasif Jalil, who built the jet's model, representing Pakistan both times.
In an exclusive interview, Aamer Waheed emphasized that success in this competition is not a matter of chance, but the result of thousands of hours spent building and hundreds of practice flights. He expressed pride in representing Pakistan and standing under the country's flag.
Waheed acknowledged the dedication required in building and practicing with one specific model, noting that it can sometimes become tedious when other aspects of the hobby beckon. When asked about the significance of events like the Jet World Masters, he highlighted their importance for hobbyists and the general public to showcase skills and cutting-edge technology in model manufacturing and flying.
He also emphasized the sense of community and camaraderie among participants from different countries who share common interests in the hobby.
