📢 GOOD NEWS FOR SOLE PROPRIETORS! 🇵🇰

🧾 Annual Sales Tax Biometric Verification through NADRA PakID

In an important development for individual taxpayers, sole proprietors and overseas Pakistanis, NADRA has confirmed that the requested online biometric verification facility through the dedicated PakID mobile application has already been developed and is expected to become operational in the 1st week of September 2026 (tentatively).

✅ Biometric verification can be completed remotely
✅ No need to visit a physical NADRA center
✅ Facility available for taxpayers and sole proprietors
✅ Overseas Pakistanis can complete verification from anywhere in the world
✅ NADRA has also taken up the matter with FBR to recognize PakID biometric verification as an alternate mode of verification, alongside the existing e-Sahulat service.

This is a welcome step towards Ease of Doing Business and will significantly facilitate small traders, sole proprietors and taxpayers.

📱 Mobile Tax Deduction Certificate
🏦 Bank Account Statement(s) (all bank accounts maintained during the tax year)
💰 Withholding Tax Deduction Certificate on Bank Profit/Profit on Savings
💳 Loan Ledger / Loan Statement (if applicable)

پنجاب میں دکانداروں کی جانب سے گاہکوں سے شاپنگ بیگ (کیری بیگ) کی الگ رقم وصول کرنے پر سخت پابندی عائد کر دی گئی ہے اور خلاف ورزی کرنے والے دکاندار کو 50 ہزار روپے جرمانہ کیا جائے گا۔ محکمہ تحفظِ ماحول پنجاب نے واضح کیا ہے کہ کسی بھی مال، سپر مارکیٹ یا دکان پر خریداری کے بعد سامان ڈالنے کے لیے دیے جانے والے بائیو ڈی گریڈ ایبل یا کپڑے کے بیگز کی قیمت گاہک سے الگ وصول کرنا قانوناً جرم ہے۔
اس اقدام کا مقصد صارفین کو اضافی مالی بوجھ سے بچانا اور دکانداروں کو یہ پابند کرنا ہے کہ وہ شاپنگ بیگز کی قیمت کو اپنی کاروباری لاگت کا حصہ بنائیں۔ حکام نے شہریوں کو ہدایت کی ہے کہ اگر کوئی دکاندار بیگ کے الگ پیسے مانگے تو فوری طور پر ضلعی انتظامیہ یا محکمہ تحفظِ ماحول کو شکایت درج کروائیں۔

فنانس ایکٹ 2026ء کے تحت اب ایسے بینک اکاؤنٹس کا ڈیٹا ایف بی آر کے مرکزی ڈیجیٹل سسٹم میں رپورٹ کیا جائے گا، جن میں 6 ماہ کے دوران مجموعی ٹرانزیکشنز 10 کروڑ روپے یا اس سے زائد ہوں۔
