🌸 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 🌸
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗴𝗲
Marriage is not just the union of two individuals, it is also the meeting of two families — their attitudes, traditions, and values. Sometimes egos collide, sometimes customs become hurdles, and often the chains of *“what will people say”* shackle love itself.
But when intentions are pure and guidance is right, even the most impossible-looking relationship can come together.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴
Such a unique story unfolded when we arranged a meeting between two match families. The girl’s side warmly invited the boy’s family for an evening tea, and I (the consultant) was also requested to join. By then, both families had already developed a friendly bond with me — cheerful and lively, but equally stubborn about traditions.
𝗔 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗽
I accompanied the boy’s family and arrived on time. At the door, traditional Pakistani hospitality welcomed us. Inside, the table was full: samosas, kebabs, biscuits, snacks, and of course, a “storm in a teacup” waiting to be stirred.
𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
The initial conversation was light-hearted and filled with laughter, but as soon as the real topic began, the atmosphere shifted.
The boy’s family said:
“Actually, we want only one thing — simplicity.”
Hearing this, concern spread across the girl’s family. The father asked:
“By simplicity, do you mean fewer gold ornaments, fewer food dishes, or just one groom?”
The room erupted in laughter, but behind the humor lay the real conflict. The girl’s father insisted, *“It’s my daughter’s wedding, how can it be without traditions?”* The boy’s mother quickly responded, *“But in our community this is the custom, if it’s not followed, what will people say?”*
It seemed less about marriage and more about *“what will people say.”*
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁

At that point, I raised another question:
“Have you noticed that Christians, whether rich or poor, always marry in their church? But we Muslims, who consider Nikah a Sunnah, why do we avoid mosques and run to halls and hotels? Why do we distance ourselves from Allah’s mercy? Why not hold Nikah in the mosque, in the way of Sunnah?”
This question struck their hearts. Silence filled the room. Then both families looked at each other and agreed:
“Yes! The wedding will be in the mosque.”
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲
Thus, a relationship that was on the verge of breaking was joined together in simplicity, Sunnah, and under Allah’s mercy. Today, that couple is not only a source of peace for each other but also both families, freed from stubbornness and empty customs, have found true happiness.
