Organizational weakness leading to Disaster:
Organizational competitiveness is a basis for growth. Here are few elements to work for avoiding damage to organizational development.
1. Communication:
When communication procedures are not well placed, it leads to blame game during meetings and on emails. When the sense of who is who and what is what is not clear, that's the first stage of failure. This is the time to channelize.
2. Manager:
This person is not a superhuman. But, being taken as a magician and manager at any level has an adoption limit. When managers are unable to listen, less interested to give concrete suggestions, reluctant to discuss conflicts, push to move things without logic, so here is the person for the ventilator. This is the time to supervise.
3. Culture:
This is the last custodian for organizational survival. If people are shouting instead of talking, if everything is a competition, not a celebration, if absenteeism is high but the contribution is less, all these are alarming signals of weak culture leading to collapsing organization. This is the time to transform.
All these symptoms should be fixed at earliest once identified to minimize the organizational damage.
