Conduct a little experiment. That you would spend one year believing that you are 100% responsible for everything that occurs in your life, no matter what.
During this period, you would do everything in your power to change your circumstances, no matter the likelihood of failure.

Whenever You are ANGRY or UNHAPPY for any reason, you can immediately short circuit the emotion by saying to yourself, over and over, "I AM RESPONSIBLE! I AM RESPONSIBLE!" until the negative feeling goes away.
Because of the Law of Substitution, your mind can hold only one thought at a time. It can hold the POSITIVE EMOTION of personal responsibility or it can hold the NEGATIVE EMOTION of anger or blame. But it cannot hold both. And the choice is always up to you.

Imagine a man stuck in a traffic jam. Traffic has not moved an inch for twenty minutes and he's running late for a meeting. He starts yelling, swearing, and banging his fists on the steering wheel. He wants so much to be in control that he just can't tolerate the fact that he's going to be late. "These people should get out of my way" he thinks. "Its ridiculous that there is this kuch traffic in the middle of the afternoon."
Contrast that person with someone in the car next to him who turns on the radio and chooses to sing along to some of his favourite tunes while he waits. He figures, "I WILL GET THERE WHEN I CAN. He uses his time and energy wisely because he knows he has no control over when traffic will start moving again. Instead he tells himself, THERE ARE MILLIONS OF CARS ON THE ROAD EVERYDAY. SOMETIMES TRAFFIC JAMS ARE BOUND TO HAPPEN.

Result: Accept and Enjoy what's not in your control :)

If you feel ignored in your family or in the presence of your friends, it means you are not doing anything related to your interest in your life.
Once you find an interest inform of any goal those feelings of being ignored will be gone.
