A productive meeting held with the QA and Production leadership of Kashmir Ghee Mill, alongside our AGM, Head of Supply Chain, and DGM Labs, to explore collaboration opportunities within the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) industry.

The discussion focused on strengthening quality assurance frameworks, regulatory compliance, laboratory testing, and calibration services to support operational excellence and product reliability. Both teams exchanged insights on aligning technical capabilities with industry standards and enhancing value-driven solutions for sustainable business growth.

The QRI Marketing Team continues to actively engage with dynamic leaders and innovators to explore forward-thinking opportunities and strategic growth pathways. In a recent meeting, our General Manager Marketing held a productive and insightful discussion with Dr. Asad Chaudhary Deputy Secretary to the Governor and Mr. Baqir Chaudhary, a young and accomplished entrepreneur and Director of Paradise Juices.

The meeting focused extensively on the evolving landscape of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its transformative potential across various sectors in Pakistan. Participants explored how AI-driven solutions can enhance operational efficiency, marketing intelligence, industrial productivity and data based decision making. Special emphasis was placed on identifying future opportunities for AI adoption within local industries and developing sustainable innovation frameworks tailored to Pakistan’s economic environment.

The strategic and facilitative role of the Governor House was also discussed, particularly in fostering public private partnerships and enabling policy support for technological advancement. Furthermore the conversation highlighted the importance of stronger collaboration between universities and industries. The participants underscored the need for more structured partnerships, research commercialization, internship pipelines and innovation hubs that bridge academic knowledge with real world industrial applications.

A constructive and highly affective meeting was done by GM and AGM QRI with Chairman of the Surgical Instruments Manufacturers Association of Pakistan (SIMAP) to discuss matters of mutual interest, particularly focusing on quality testing, compliance and strengthening collaboration between testing institutions and the surgical manufacturing industry. In meeting the Chairman SIMAP appreciated QRI’s efforts and highlighted the challenges faced by the surgical instruments industry, especially in relation to evolving international regulatory requirements, product certification and consistent quality compliance. He stressed the need for accessible, credible, and industry oriented testing facilities in Pakistan to support exporters and manufacturers in maintaining competitiveness in global markets.

Both sides exchanged views on the importance of close coordination between QRI and SIMAP to address industry needs effectively. Potential areas of cooperation were discussed, including facilitation of testing services for SIMAP members, technical guidance on standards compliance, joint awareness sessions and capacity building initiatives for manufacturers and quality professionals.

An affective and productive meeting was held between the CEO QRI and the Director General of Pakistan Council of Scientific and Industrial Research to discuss matters of mutual interest with particular focus on collaboration in the field of testing, analysis and quality assurance. During the meeting both sides emphasized the critical role of reliable testing and standardization in supporting industrial growth, enhancing product quality and ensuring compliance with national and international standards. The CEO QRI highlighted the institute’s ongoing initiatives and capabilities in testing and research, underscoring QRI’s commitment to providing credible, accurate and timely testing services to industry, academia and regulatory bodies.

The Director General PCSIR appreciated QRI’s efforts and shared insights into PCSIR’s extensive infrastructure, technical expertise and experience in scientific research and testing across multiple sectors. The DG PCSIR stressed the importance of inter-institutional cooperation to avoid duplication of efforts, optimize available resources and strengthen the national testing and certification ecosystem. Both parties discussed potential areas of collaboration, including joint testing programs, capacity building, knowledge sharing and possible Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to formalize cooperation.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both the CEO QRI and DG PCSIR expressing strong commitment to fostering closer coordination and collaboration. It was mutually agreed that enhanced cooperation between QRI and PCSIR would contribute significantly to strengthening quality infrastructure, promoting innovation and supporting national economic development through improved testing and research capabilities.

The QRI Karachi team, in the presence of GM Marketing had a highly productive meeting with Mr. Shamim Ahmed CEO and team of Sami Pharmaceuticals. Mr. Shamim Ahmed is a humble, visionary and creative leader. Sami Pharmaceuticals is one of the largest pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities in Pakistan.

During this insightful meeting not only were QRI’s calibration services discussed but several strategic initiatives of the Qarshi Group were also explored, particularly Nutri Compost and the future prospects of Qarshi University. The discussion proved to be very constructive with Mr. Shamim Ahmed also sharing details about Sami Pharmaceuticals’ upcoming projects and key operational areas where potential collaboration opportunities with QRI may exist across multiple domains.

A highly productive meeting was held between the QRI Marketing and Agri & Horti teams and the senior management of Döhler Pakistan. The newly established Döhler office was appreciated and congratulated, as always with a distinctive Qarshi gift basket. Distinguished officials from the National Agri-Trade and Food Safety Authority visited the QRI Lahore laboratory and marketing office. During the visit detailed discussions were held on future prospects and strategic directions for strengthening testing services. Key initiatives of the Ministry of National Food Security and Research Government of Pakistan were also reviewed, with particular emphasis on the role of the Department of Plant Protection. The discussions highlighted the challenges faced by Pakistan’s export products and the measures undertaken by the Department of Plant Protection to enhance its mandate in facilitating export consignments especially agricultural commodities.

QRI with its state-of-the-art facilities and comprehensive range of testing services available under one roof, expressed strong interest in collaboration. The institute reaffirmed its commitment to contributing to future developments and supporting Pakistan’s progress through increased agricultural exports.
