Congrats on your visa!
To settle smoothly and avoid any issues, please follow these 8 important steps:

*1. PAY ENROLLMENT FEE FROM PAKISTAN*
Pay your university fee from Pakistan.
*Why?* Banks in Türkiye make issues for new students & carrying too much cash is risky.
*MOST IMPORTANT:* Get the *confirmation email/receipt* from your university.
You MUST show this to FIA at the airport as proof of fee + admission.
_If you only have initial deposit, you can get OFFLOADED. Don’t risk it!_
*2. BOOK SHORT-TERM STAY FIRST*
Book a hotel or student flat for *10-15 days* before arrival.
Use this time to visit dorms/flats in person and pick the best one.
_Don’t book long-term online before coming. It can be a big disappointment._
*3. GET YOUR SIM CARD*
Option A: Use online e-SIM apps for temporary use
Option B: *Turk Telekom* SIM is available at airport, but it’s cheaper at any city center shop after arrival.
*4. ARRANGE AIRPORT PICKUP*
Use *Uber / Bitaksi / Indrive* apps OR pre-book your pickup.
Know your drop-off address before landing.

*5. UNIVERSITY REGISTRATION ASAP*
As soon as you land, go to your university with:
*Original documents + Photocopies*
Complete registration and get your *Student Certificate - Öğrenci Belgesi*
Then apply for *Student Card* for cheap metro & bus fares!
*6. APPLY FOR RESIDENCE PERMIT - İKAMET*
After you get your Student Certificate:
1. Fill form on *E-İkamet* website
2. Pay tax: *964 TL*
3. Buy Health Insurance: *500 - 1000 TL*
4. Submit documents at university
5. Give fingerprints
_Tip: Most universities have special days when Immigration comes to campus. Ask your International Office!_
