High speed rough rounding machine

The high speed rough rounding and channelling machine model for Goodyear welted shoes AV B can process very different materials, up to the thickest soles.
The sole edges are rough rounded after the sole laying, to produce the necessary shape for stitching.
The machine also simultaneously cuts the channel or groove to receive the stitches.
Any desired extension or swell on the outside joint may be obtained by a cam-operated mechanism controlled by the operator.
One setting applies to both lefts and rights and so helps to make shoes in matched pairs.
The lubrication is automatic.

LACING MACHINE

This is a bench mounted machine AV LE complete with speed variator for lacing uppers prior to lasting.
The machine feeds a continuous thread through the selected eyelet holes, ties a knot and cuts the thread automatically in order to withstand pincers strength during the lasting working process.
It is fitted to accommodate up to 5 pairs of eyelet holes but by removing certain looper parts, one, two, three or four pairs of holes can be laced.
Eyelet spacing from 9 to 16 mm centres may be done with possibility to reach mm 22 spacing by replacing few parts.
For extreme lacing distances from 38 to a maximum of 48 mm (i.e. in case of sports shoes) a special pneumatic device has been developed and can be fitted 'to order'.
An adjustment is fitted to enable the facings to be laced close together or with a gap as required.
Constant predetermined lacing distance within the eyelets on each laced upper, ensuring uniformity and quality standardization on the lasted shoes.

Welt sewing machine AV ES

High speed, accurate welt sewing; the machine model AV ES sews the welt to the lasted upper and insole rib with a chainstitch seam.
Both awl and needle pe*****te the work from the welt side.
Thread tension is easily adjusted and maintained by a simple adjustment.
A tight seam is ensured because thread tension is built up evenly as the stitch is set, pulling the thread down tight to the welt without straining the insole rib.

By virtue of the machine design, the seam can be sewn well into the rib base.
The welt guides have been specially designed to feed the welt at a much flatter angle.
There's less distortion at welt beating and less strain on the inseam. This, of course, also leads to excellent water resistance in the final shoe.

One important feature of the AV C Goodyear Sole Stitching Machine is its smooth work feed. The actual feed members are the work table and the presser foot with automatic release. They grip, lock and squeeze the work and impart a positive pre-set feed; all this with no strain on the awl - both needle (size 39 to 54) and awl (size 37 - 52) remain correctly aligned; stitch length never varies but can be set by the operator to produce between 2 and 12 stitches per inch (2.5 cm).
With this machine the depth of thread lock remains constant, despite changes in work thickness (maximum mm 13), and the operator has a clear view of the work.
On demand the machine can be fitted with a motorized (0,1 Kw) bobbin winder.
Several other attachments can be fitted 'to order'.

The skivers AV2 M are machines to skive stiff and heavy materials having thickness up to mm. 2. Usually they are supplied on a metal stand. They can be equipped with a lubricating device for processing thermoplastic materials (S.LUB. – part code no. 2671 C). The reduced knife rotation speed avoids the blade overheating and maintains sharp the cutting edge. The skiving machines for leather and inner-counters not exceeding the thickness of mm. 2 are available in the following versions:
AV2 C: head only
AV2 M1: on metal stand with one motor controlling the feeding and the knife and one independent grindstone motor. The machine features a fixed speed for the feeding and the knife.

The skivers CU M are machines for skiving stiff and heavy materials (leather, rubber, heavy cardboard, and so on) with a motorized upper feed roll and with an automatic feeding of the component to be skived. Usually they are supplied on a metal stand. The reduced rotation speed of the knife allows avoiding the blade overheating and therefore it also allows keeping the cutting edge longer sharp. The heavy duty skivers for leather and very thick inner-counters are available in the following versions:
CUT: head only
CU M1: on metal stand with one motor controlling the feeding and knife and one independent grindstone motor. The machine features a fixed speed for the feeding and the knife.
CU M2: on metal stand with two independent motors controlling the feeding and the knife and one independent grindstone motor. The machine features a fixed speed for the feeding and the knife, but, for particular works (insoles), you can invert the rotation direction of the knife.

The AV4 machine is equipped with a patent pneumatic device, which makes it possible to effect three pre-estabilished skives of different thicknesses and angles by means of a simple treadle drive. The adjustment for the pre-selection of these skives are very simple and controllable by graduated sectors.
The working area is free, thus enabling troublefree skiving and easy working in narrow and tortuous points, particularly in the vamp with cut for the sewing of the two parts. The efficient suction system, which removes scraps and dust, eliminates spoils and is advantageous to the operator.
With traditional machines, the upper were laid and taken up again for each different skive with change of presserfoot and adjustment. With the result of our AV4 skiving machine, we found on the average, a great saving of production time, therefore, it is clear that the machine cost is rapidly recovered, as the object must be more production for less cost. Besides an increase of production, many other advantages with the AV4 skiving machine: improvement of precision, elimination of skiving scraps and employment of unspecialised labour.

PROGRAMMABLE SKIVING Machine

With the microproccesor controlled skiving machine AV2 TEV you can program for every single workpiece, 5 different types of skive in 120 different sequences.
Each type of skive is defined by 4 parameters (angle, thickness, width and speed) for which you can store 99 different values.
Data can be also modified during the production cycle.
Moreover the stored workpiece feeding speed can be disactivated and the operator can vary the speed by acting on the treadle controlling the electronic variable speed.
The knife sharpening and positioning can be either manual or automatic.
