FULL PINK MOON IS HAPPENING TONIGHT! 🌝
The full moon in April is known as the "Pink Moon," however, it is unlikely to be quite pink. The term refers to the first full moon in April and has nothing to do with the color of the moon. Rather, the moon is named after the hue of the flowers that bloom at this time of year. Native American cultures are supposed to have named it after the moss-pink wildflower, which blooms in dusty pink tones.
This full moon shines brightest around 12:37 a.m. this morning, Thursday, April 6, Eastern Time. This implies that it will be reaching its height in more western time zones on the night of April 5. In Philippine Standard Time, the full moon drifts into the sky on the afternoon of today, Thursday, April 6, reaching peak illumination at 12:34 p.m.
