We’re thrilled to announce that the Graduation Ceremony was held for the talented artisans who have successfully completed the 30-day Relatable Skills Training Programme at the Turkmen Carpet Weaving Lab!
The ceremony marks the culmination of weeks of hard work, during which participants acquired key skills in wool dyeing, carpet washing, coloring, cutting, finishing, and preparing carpets for market sales. They also gained valuable knowledge in social mobilization and community management, empowering them to take on community leadership roles.
With expert guidance from a dedicated consultant, 30 participants are now equipped to enhance their craft, drive economic empowerment, and continue the proud tradition of Afghan carpet weaving.

Skills in Action: Empowering Afghan Refugees! 🧶
Relevant training sessions are currently underway at the Turkmen Carpet Lab, where Afghan refugees continue to grow and lead. Recently, a session on the Turkmen Social Map and Daily Activities Charts took place, strengthening the beneficiaries' ability to organize and plan effectively.
In addition, we introduced the TMC Records Register to the Turkmen Committee, ensuring that all activities and meeting proceedings are systematically recorded for future reference and progress tracking.

Following our recent meeting with the talented Afghan Refugees carpet weavers, we’re glad to share that the 30-day Relatable Skills training has officially started at Turkeman Camp! With the generous support of UNHCR, 30 participants are now receiving hands-on training in essential carpet-making techniques. Over the course of the month, they will learn fiber loom dyeing, washing, cutting, and thread-making, as well as skills in social mobilization and committee management. The training will equip them with valuable craftsmanship skills and empower them to take on leadership roles within their community.

Our team had a meeting with talented Afghan Refugee carpet weavers—15 males and 15 females—who are ready to begin their journey in traditional carpet weaving. With the generous support of UNHCR, they will be provided with looms and materials to create beautiful, handcrafted carpets. 🧵✨
In addition to weaving, a 30-day training will also be provided, focusing on dyeing, cutting, washing, and thread-making with a total of 30 participants (15 males and 15 females) taking part, ensuring that everyone has the space to learn, grow, and develop their skills. 🖌️🧶

We’re thrilled to announce that our Turkmen Management Committee Center is now officially registered with the Institute of Skill Development Council, Peshawar, through the end of 2025! 📜✨
Additionally, with provisional facilitation, our Afghan committee members—now certified trainers—will offer SDC-approved carpet weaving courses over the next six months. These specialized trainings will empower youth, men, and women with valuable skills for income generation and sustainable development, building pathways to self-reliance and economic resilience. 🌍🧶💪
