یہ کہانی ایک ایسے دیس کی ہےجہاں سے انسانی زندگی کا آغاز ہوا تھا یہ بہت خوبصورت تھا اور یہاں پر بسنے والے بھی بہت پیارے لوگ تھے مگر اُن کو وہ مقام نہیں ملا جس کے وہ حقدار تھے یہ کہانی اُن کے اسی خوبصورت پہلو کو عیاں کرے گی۔ اس دیس کا ہم سفر کریں گے اس فکشن ناول میں جس کا نام ہے "پہاڑوں پر برف ہوا میں پانی" یہ سفر کہاں ختم ہو گا یہ تو میں نہیں جانتی لیکن اتنا ضرور جانتی ہوں کے یہ دلچسپ ہو گا۔تو چلیں آغاز کرتے ہیں اس سفر کے پہلے حصے کا جس کا نام ہے۔ "آگند شہر سو رہا ہے"

انسان ظاہر میں صرف ایک چہرہ رکھتا ہے لیکن اس کا باطن کئی چہروں پر مشتمل ہوتا ہے۔ باطن میں چھپا یہ چہرہ اس کے ظاہری چہرے سے بلکلل مختلف ہوتا ہے۔ انہی چہروں پر مشتمل یہ ناگفتا افسانے اور شاعری کا ایسا مجموعہ ہے جو انسان کے اس چھپے چہرے کو مختلف حالات اور واقعات میں ظاہر کرتا ہے۔ جس میں دھوکا، وفا، غداری احسان فراموشی،بھروسہ، قربانی، بے لوث جذبہ شامل ہیں۔

We are trying to make a change.

Harf Nagar is the official partner of this Season.

Season 4 was all about generating awareness based literature with a core focus on practicality. The theme chosen was 'I am Zainab' where we highlighted issues on children's sexual harassment.

We hired a counselling psychologist Ms. Sonia Mukhtar, a lawyer Ms. Maham Khalid, a social activist Ms. Fizza Pitafi Baloch and a bunch of professional editorial comprising of Ms. Aimen Siddiqui and Ms. Qudsia Huzaifa to do the task which no one ever dared to do!

We are proud to announce that it was Daastan who stepped up and took practical steps to curb the evil in our society when the media and general population was busy doing the useless commentary and blame games.

We designed these stories in a such a way that it is safe for kids to read. We believe that this literature will help break the taboo in society and it will not only help the survivors seek hope but also make the kids and parents aware of how to avoid such situations and in case anything unfortunate happens then whom to talk to, where will they find help they need.

We did our part and now we request you to do yours by helping us spread the word and ensuring that every household in Pakistan knows about this initiative and READS IT!

Founders of Daastan & Harf Nagar at University of Gujrat ❤

We are pleased to announce that a delegate consisting of Ms. Sameen Aziz, founder Harf Nagar and Mr. Syed Ommer Amer, founder Daastan represented team Daastan @ KATH'18.

Daastan was one of the proud sponsors of KATH'18 where we sponsored the literary events.

We exhibited the published books by Daastan through the platform of Qissa (www.meraqissa.com) in the campus library.

Two book launches were organized in collaboration with The Readers Club UoG in which Ms. Faiza Kayani, author of 'Muhabbat Gustaakh Hoti Hai' and Mr. Tayyab Khalil, author of 'Interview Questions for Mechanical Engineering' spoke to the lively crowd. Ms. Sameen, who is graduate of Daastan's fellowship program also shared her experience with the audience that how she launched her brand to help people digitize their work.

The winners of all six literary events organized under the umbrella of KATH'18 were given gift packs by Daastan.

The students who participated in these literary events actively connected and inquired about the publishing procedure.

We are currently in talks with administration of UoG through which students would be able to connect with literary industry using Daastan's platform. Stay tuned for more updates.

We are thankful to Team Kath'18 for their hospitality during our three (03) day stay. It was surely one of the most memorable experience of our journey.
