Is it a random stock photo?
It could be, but it is actually a portrait of our bacteria. They are kinda small, so we needed a good zoom - so we used a microscope.
To differ one thing from another we used a colouring. Nile Blue(some colouring stuff) staining of the sample allows the lipids to be observed. As a result of the dye application, fatty acids turn blue, while neutral lipids turn red or orange.

Why is there a tornado in the beaker?

We use it to mix the food for our little bacteria.
After it's mixed well, it needs some oil, and the dinner for bacteria is served!

Since 1.02.2020 These three white coated humans are free people.

After 3 years of struggle, they decided - No more! - And graduated.

Fortunally for us, and for our planet, they still keep an eye on the project that they started as students.

The jar is quite beautiful, but in fact there is just trash in there.

It contains unnecesary leftovers coming out of bioreactor.

Maybe it will not turn the world upside down. But every person trying not to harm the environment has an impact.

Try to use one plastic package less today.

Christmas is over. Despite what you may think, by using this ladle we are not cooking, but extracting floccules. When we have these little stuctures separated, on a small piece of glass, we can put them under the microscope and check if they contain proper phb.

I just found out that if everybody lived like me, we would need 2 earths to deal with all the carbon and trash I produce everyday.
