Honey under the magnifying glass – what does the Breakfast Directive change?
On 27 October 2026, the conference “Honey under the magnifying glass – what does the Breakfast Directive change?” will take place in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, Poland, focusing on changes that are having a significant impact on the European honey market.
The event will provide an opportunity to discuss the new regulations, honey quality and authenticity, origin and traceability, as well as solutions designed to increase market transparency and provide stronger protection for both consumers and honest beekeepers and producers.
The main objective of the conference is to explain what the changes resulting from the so-called Breakfast Directive mean in practice. We want to create a space for an open and substantive discussion between representatives of the beekeeping sector, experts, scientists, institutions and professionals involved in the honey market. The programme will address not only the new requirements, but also broader challenges such as honey adulteration, traceability, quality control and the future of the European honey market.
