𝗥𝗘𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗥𝗘𝗗 𝗗𝗢𝗖𝗨𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗟𝗬𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗢 𝗣𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗦𝗛 𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗘𝗦

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆?
The admissions procedure for a typical international student is described in this post. It could vary slightly between universities or even within one university between several departments or courses. All universities have detailed descriptions of these policies so that everyone is aware of what to expect. Make sure you are thoroughly familiar with them, or if you are working with an educational agent, they should let you know so you are not caught off guard when, for instance, you need to send a university an additional document that may take two weeks to receive, or you need to pay a 200 EUR enrolment fee after you are accepted to the university.
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟭: Before applying, ensure that you have:
• 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁: until at least 𝟯𝟭.𝟬𝟱.𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰. When applying for a student visa and temporary residence permit, which will be issued to you for your first academic year, your passport must still be valid for at least three months after the day you intend to exit Poland. If you enroll in the spring of 2023, your first year will technically end in February 2024, thus your passport should be valid through 31.05.2024.
• 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲: your 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗱𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗺𝗮, your 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁, and your 𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿. Depending on the nation, these three may occasionally be included in one document. Make sure all documents are in English. If not, you must have a sworn translator convert them into English or Polish. Each document must be legalized by the Polish Embassy or Consulate in the respective country (depending in what country your high school was located).
• 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲: your 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗺𝗮/𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲, as well as your 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗲𝘁. Make sure all documents are in English. If not, you must have a sworn translator convert them into English or Polish. Each document must be legalized by the Polish Embassy or Consulate in the respective country (depending in what country your university was located).
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟮: For the university application:
• 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺: Typically, in the university's online system or in printed form, which must be obtained from the university. It is filled out by you or, if you work with one, by your educational agent.
• 𝗔𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗲𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: between 20 EUR and 250 EUR paid to university account. Some universities accept payments in EUR or USD. Make sure you wire enough money to cover bank costs and exchange rate fees, as with all international money transfers, to avoid falling short of 1 USD, which will halt your application. Since many universities only have accounts in Polish zloty, sending money there from outside the EU is more difficult. Currently, only few universities accept credit card payments for tuition. If you work with an educational agent, you can pay them with a credit card and they will settle the payment in a Polish bank on your behalf.
• 𝗔 𝗰𝗼𝗽𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁: as mentioned above.
• 𝗔 𝗰𝗼𝗽𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗱𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗺𝗮 (for Bachelor degree courses) or a 𝗰𝗼𝗽𝘆 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗺𝗮 (for Master degree courses). Some universities will allow you to submit those documents without an apostille or legalization at this point, but you will need to deliver the version with the apostille or legalization before they will send you an admission letter. If you don't have these when you go for your visa interview, Poland may refuse you entrance on the grounds that you don't meet the conditions to study there.
• 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲: Your English should be at least conversational at level B2. Various language certificates are accepted, and they differ from university to university. Please keep in mind that universities strictly follow their requirements for language certification, thus if they state that they will only accept IELTS at level 6.5, there is no way you can get in without one. If you don't have any credentials, you can still apply to an institution that requires its applicants to demonstrate their English proficiency through interviews or online English exams as part of the admissions process.
𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗱𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗲. Depending on the university and the type of degree you seek, you may be required to provide additional documents such as:
- physician's certificate of good health;
- your CV and cover letter;
- confirmation of your student oath;
- proof of valid medical insurance in Poland;
- your parent or guardian's approval if you are underage;
- other documents as specified by the university.
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟯: The university pre-conditionally accepts your application if your application is approved, your interview went well (if applicable), and you have met the eligibility requirements. You will typically be required to provide the following materials to the university in order to complete your student status there (Note: if those materials were part of the prior procedures at some universities, you won't need to submit them again; you will immediately receive the admission letter.):
• 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗮𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗲𝗲: If you use a bank transfer from outside the EU, be sure to account for bank fees and currency rate errors in order to pay the complete cost of tuition. Make sure to pay for at least one semester of your studies if you plan to apply for a student visa to Poland (however full year payment is preferable).
• Your 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗼𝗿 𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗘𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘀𝘀𝘆/𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲. You will be required to provide them now if, during the application procedure, you only supplied your diplomas without obtaining the required apostille or legalization.
Some universities would have some 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗹:
• 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗜𝗗 𝗽𝗮𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: some universities could ask you to pay for your student ID. Those are minor sums - typically around 20 EUR - but the fact that you must wire the money to a Polish bank may provide an issue.
• 𝗘𝗻𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗲𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Some universities do not charge an enrolment fee until you have been accepted as a student. Instead of paying a larger fee at the start of the admissions process, you only pay a small amount and cover the rest after you are accepted.
Ta-da! Your admission letter should arrive a few days after you finish the last step. You must provide that legally valid document with your student visa application.
However, obtaining a visa is a totally distinct matter that will be detailed in another post.
الخطوة الأولى: قبل التقديم ، تأكد من أن لديك:
• جواز سفر ساري المفعول - حتى 31/05/2024 على الأقل. سوف تتقدم بطلب للحصول على تأشيرة طالب وبطاقة الإقامة المؤقتة والتي ستُمنحك الحق في الدراسه ؛ في مثل هذه الحالات ، يجب أن يكون جواز سفرك صالحًا لمدة 3 أشهر على الأقل بعد مغادرتك بولندا المخطط لها. من الناحية الفنية ، سينتهي عامك الأول في فبراير 2024 إذا قمت بالتسجيل في ربيع 2023 ، لذا يجب أن يكون جواز سفرك ساريًا حتى 31/05/2024.
• للحصول على درجة البكالوريوس: شهادة التخرج من المدرسة الثانوية ، ورقة درجاتك النهائية وخطاب الأهلية. يمكن أن تكون هذه الثلاثة أحيانًا في مستند واحد - حسب البلد. تأكد من أن جميع المستندات باللغة الإنجليزية ، وإذا لم يكن الأمر كذلك ، فيجب عليك ترجمتها إلى الإنجليزية أو البولندية بواسطة مترجم محلف. يجب أن تحتوي جميع المستندات تمت تصديقها من قبل السفارة / القنصلية البولندية في البلد المعني (حسب البلد الذي كانت فيه
مدرستك الثانوية).
• للحصول على درجة الماجستير: دبلوم / شهادة البكالوريوس مع كشف علاماتك النهائية. تأكد من أن جميع المستندات باللغة الإنجليزية ، وإذا لم يكن الأمر كذلك ، فيجب عليك ترجمتها إلى الإنجليزية أو البولندية بواسطة مترجم محلف. يجب أن تحتوي جميع المستندات تصديقها من قبل السفارة / القنصلية البولندية في البلد المعني (اعتمادًا على البلد الذي تقع فيه جامعتك).
الخطوة الثانية: للتقديم للجامعة:
• طلب الجامعة - عادة في نظام الجامعة عبر الإنترنت أو في النموذج المطبوع - يتم الحصول عليه من الجامعة. يتم ملؤها إما من قبلك أو من قبل وكيلك التعليمي إذا كنت تعمل مع أحد.
• تأكيد دفع الرسوم الإدارية: من 20 يورو إلى 250 يورو تُدفع لحساب الجامعة. بعض الجامعات لديها حساب باليورو أو بالدولار الأمريكي وتقبل المدفوعات بهذه العملات. كما هو الحال مع جميع التحويلات المالية الدولية ، تأكد من تحويل أموال كافية لتغطية الرسوم المصرفية ورسوم أسعار الصرف حتى لا ينتهي الأمر بأقل من 1 دولار أمريكي مما سيوقف طلبك. تمتلك العديد من الجامعات حساباتها بالزلوتي البولندي فقط ، مما يجعل الأمر أكثر صعوبة لإرسال الأموال إلى هناك من خارج الاتحاد الأوروبي. في الوقت الحالي ، لا تسمح أي جامعة تقريبًا بدفع الرسوم عن طريق بطاقة الائتمان. إذا كنت تعمل مع وكيل تعليمي ، فيمكنك الدفع لهم عن طريق بطاقة الائتمان وسيقومون بتسوية ذلك في بنك بولندي نيابة عنك.
• نسخة من جواز سفرك - سارية المفعول على النحو الوارد أعلاه حتى 30/05/2024 على الأقل.
• نسخة من شهادة الثانوية العامة (لدورات درجة البكالوريوس) أو نسخة من شهادة البكالوريوس (لدورات درجة الماجستير). قد تسمح بعض الجامعات بتقديم هذه المستندات ان لم يتم تصديقها في هذه المرحلة ، ولكن سيتعين عليك تسليم النسخة أو التصديق قبل أن يرسلوا إليك خطاب القبول. تسمح بعض الجامعات لطلابها بإحضار مستنداتهم النهائية مع التصديق أو التصديق بعد وصولهم إلى بولندا ، لكن هذا نادر جدًا ويتعارض مع الممارسة العامة. إذا لم يكن لديك هذه أثناء مقابلة التأشيرة الخاصة بك ، فقد يتم رفض دخولك إلى بولندا على أساس عدم استيفاء متطلبات الأجانب للدراسة في بولندا.
• شهادة إجادة اللغة الإنجليزية. يجب أن تكون لغتك الإنجليزية على مستوى محادثة على الأقل المستوى B2. يتم قبول الشهادات اللغوية المختلفة والتي تختلف من جامعة إلى أخرى. يرجى أن تضع في اعتبارك أن الجامعات تتبع بدقة معايير شهادة اللغة الخاصة بها ، وإذا قالوا إنهم يقبلون IELTS فقط في المستوى 6.5 ، فلا توجد طريقة للوصول إلى هناك بدون مثل هذا. إذا لم يكن لديك أي شهادة ، فلا يزال بإمكانك التقدم إلى إحدى الجامعات التي تختبر اللغة الإنجليزية لطلابها عبر اختبارات اللغة الإنجليزية عبر الإنترنت أو أثناء مقابلة كجزء من عملية القبول.

الخطوة 3. بعد الموافقة على طلبك ، سارت مقابلتك بشكل جيد (حيثما ينطبق ذلك) ، لقد استوفيت معايير التأهيل - تقبل الجامعة طلبك بشكل مسبق. من أجل إنهاء وضعك كطالب كجامعة ، سيُطلب منك عادةً تقديمه إلى الجامعة (ملاحظة: إذا كان هذا هو جزء من الخطوات السابقة في بعض الجامعات ، فلن تضطر إلى تكرار ذلك وستتلقى خطاب القبول تلقائيًا .):
• تأكيد دفع الرسوم الدراسية الخاصة بك. يرجى التأكد مما إذا كنت تستخدم التحويل المصرفي من خارج الاتحاد الأوروبي لحساب الرسوم المصرفية وانتهاكات سعر الصرف لتغطية المبلغ الكامل للرسوم الدراسية. إذا كنت ستتقدم بطلب للحصول على تأشيرة طالب إلى بولندا ، فتأكد من أنك تدفع على الأقل مقابل فصل دراسي واحد من دراستك (ولكن يُفضل دفع السنة كاملة).

• تأكيد دفع بطاقة هوية الطالب. قد تطلب بعض الجامعات في هذه المرحلة أن تدفع مقابل بطاقة هوية الطالب الخاصة بك. هذه مبالغ صغيرة - عادة حوالي 20 يورو ولكن المشكلة قد تكون حقيقة أنك بحاجة إلى تحويلها إلى بنك بولندي.
• تأكيد دفع رسوم التسجيل. تفرض بعض الجامعات رسوم تسجيل فقط بعد قبولك كطالب. لذا فبدلاً من دفع رسوم أكبر في بداية القبول ، فإنك تدفع فقط مبلغًا صغيرًا وتغطي الباقي بعد قبولك.
