Andrzej Marzec (03.09.1944-25.11.2025)
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Andrzej Marzec, a well-known Polish promoter and a true pioneer in his field.
He was a promoter, artist manager, TV producer and entrepreneur. For two decades he worked for Polish Artists Agency PAGART in artist exchange division and then promoting the biggest international artists who for the first time had a chance to play on the other side of the iron curtain (Elton John, Depeche Mode, Leonard Cohen, Tina Turner, Iron Maiden, Metallica to name a few). In the 90’s after the political transition in Poland, he set up his own company AMC and successfully promoted shows of Bob Dylan, The Cure, Foo Fighters, Faithless, Massive Attack, Ice T & Body Count, Iggy Pop, David Byrne, Patti Smith, Camel, Toto and Peter Gabriel.
Andrzej’s vision, dedication, and groundbreaking work helped shape the landscape of Polish music market of the 80's and 90's and earned him deep respect across the industry and beyond. He opened doors for many and his passion and leadership left a lasting legacy. Those who had the privilege of knowing or working with him will remember his commitment and integrity.
May he rest in peace.
