Analog Research and Mission Activities - this is the fourth module of Analog Workshop in September!

What can you learn from this part?

This module focuses on the scientific purpose of analog missions and the daily activities performed during mission operations. Participants learn how research projects are designed, conducted, documented, and managed within analog environments while following scientific and ethical standards.

The module introduces principles of research methodology, data collection, intellectual property, scientific collaboration, and publication practices. Participants also explore the wide range of operational activities performed during analog missions, including biological experiments, engineering demonstrations, habitat maintenance, crew routines, technology testing, operational reporting, and resource management.

What topics will be covered?
🔸Science and research in analog missions
🔸Intellectual Property (IP) training
🔸Research planning and documentation
🔸Analog activities during the mission
🔸Laboratory operations
🔸Daily mission routines
🔸Scientific and operational teamwork

There are only 8 spots available, so don’t hesitate and fill out the application form (the same as for the missions). During the workshops, we offer full accommodation and meals. The cost of participation is 950 Euro.

Moonwalks, even these simulated, are vast topics. How to prepare before getting off the safe airlock? You can find out from Analog Workshops’ Module 3: Simulation, Immersion and EVA Operations.

This module introduces participants to the operational side of analog missions by examining how realistic simulation and immersion support both research and astronaut training. Participants explore the principles of immersive mission design, environmental simulation, operational realism, and human behavior studies within analog environments 🧑‍🚀

Building on this theoretical foundation, participants complete comprehensive Extravehicular Activity (EVA) training, including suit familiarization, operational procedures, safety protocols, communication, EVA simulation planning, and emergency response. Multiple practical EVA simulations allow participants to progressively develop operational skills, teamwork, scientific task ex*****on, and mission discipline within a realistic analog environment 🌕

What topics will be covered?
🔸Simulation and immersion in analog missions
🔸EVA theory and preparation
🔸EVA safety procedures
🔸EVA simulation training
🔸Practical EVA exercises
🔸EVA simulation debriefings

There are only 8 spots available, so don’t hesitate and fill out the application form (the same as for the missions). During the workshops, we offer full accommodation and meals. The cost of participation is 950 Euro.
